Preform Pattern Tape
Increase Safety for Pedestrians and Vehicles
Preformed Polymer Tape, commonly referred to as pattern tape, is a durable roadway surface pavement marking. This heavy-grade material has reflective beads embedded into it for added visibility.
There are two ways our expert crews apply preform pattern tape: overlay, inlay, or grooved in. During the overlay application, the tape is set over the pavement surface. With the inlay application, workers set the tape on the asphalt in the hardening process, while rollers compress the two together, ensuring the tape physically becomes part of the asphalt. During the grooving process, after the curing of roadway, the road is grooved and the tape is applied within 24 hours.
