Traffic Control Technician – Fargo, ND

Summary:

Assist the Foreman in all aspects of installing temporary and permanent traffic control work zone projects.

Essential Functions:

• Assist the Foreman in all aspects of installing temporary and permanent traffic control projects.
• Maintain excellent customer service, work with contractors and always put forth a positive company image
• Install, maintain and remove temporary work zones including warning signs, barrels and barricades
• Load and unload tools, materials and equipment
• Operate various hand and power tools, skid steers, air hammers and/or forklifts
• Operate company vehicles in a safe manner
• Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Follow all safety and environmental policies of Dakota Fence

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

1. Temporary traffic control or other construction experience preferred, but not necessary
2. Ability to drive a truck and trailer combination
3. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with good overall interpersonal skills
4. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
5. Willingness/ability to obtain a CDL/Class A Drivers License a plus
6. Traffic Control Supervisor Certification (if applicable)

Must have a valid driver’s license, be 18 years of age or older and have a favorable driving record. Dakota Fence/3D Specialties is a drug free workplace. Applicant must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check if offered a position. Some overnight travel may be required and will vary based on workload.
